Shipping & Privacy

Is your shipping discreet? Absolutely. We know privacy is important. All orders are shipped in plain, unmarked brown boxes with no mention of "mushrooms" or "fungi" on the outside. Your secret is safe with us.

How long does shipping take? We ship directly from our lab in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Most orders are processed within 1–2 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your kit heads out.

Sterilization & Quality

How do I know my bag is sterile? Every FunGuy kit includes a Sterile Indicator Strip right on the bag. This strip changes color during our 150L autoclave process, giving you visual proof that the kit has reached the necessary temperature for hospital-grade sterilization.

What is in the substrate? We use the "Golden Ratio" of Coco Coir, Vermiculite, and Gypsum (CVG). This blend is specifically optimized for dung-loving species to provide the perfect balance of moisture retention and aeration.

Are genetics included? No. To comply with local and federal regulations, we do not provide spores or liquid cultures. Our kits are "Ready-to-Research," meaning they are perfectly prepared for you to add your own favorite genetics.

The Growing Process

How much liquid culture should I use? For our standard kits, we recommend 3-5cc of your favorite genetics. Using more doesn't necessarily speed things up and can actually throw off the moisture balance in the grain.

I’m a beginner—what if I fail? Don't worry! That’s why we offer 100% Success Coverage. If your bag stalls or fails to colonize, reach out to us. We’ll help you troubleshoot the issue, and if we can’t get it right, we’ll make it right. We’ll Get You Growing.

Storage

Can I save my kit for later? For best results, we recommend using your kit within 2 weeks of arrival. However, if you need to wait, you can store the un-inoculated bag in a cool, dark place for up to 4 weeks.
